Pricing Manager is responsible for the price strategy and the daily management of price changes, the delivery of actionable insights to the key commercial processes such as supplier negotiations, category assortment management, promotional tactics, marketing campaigns and format development/optimization questions.

What will be your responsibilities

  • drive the Albert Commercial/Trade Agenda and Priorities, encourage people to engage with retail business process and think about how Ahold can be more competitive
  • implement the Albert standards of performance and talent development & management, recognize great performance, coach constructively on under-performance
  • use the insights from the engagement survey to inspire and motivate our people, in the short-term focus on leading by example, embracing diversity and explaining the reasons for change
  • understanding of the importance of price as a driver or barrier for price perception
  • understand what is going on in the market by performing frequent measurements
  • creation and maintenance of a category-overarching price architecture
  • optimize price distance versus competition based on a differentiated approach (including article, store, category importance)
  • optimize prices to maximize sales and profitability
  • deliver expected price indexes vs competition
  • be the gatekeeper of all price changes that are orchestrated by Support Office
  • delivery and maintenance of the pricing tool supporting workflow management and optimization as well as supporting the pricing strategy through delivering a basket segmentation using transaction data to define the article importance within the pricing framework
  • delivery and maintenance of the promo tool for workflow management and optimization, the creation of evaluation reports and providing input to the development of the promo strategy

What we expect from you

  • University Master / MBA degree
  • more than 5 years of experience in Commercial sphere in retail or FMCG companies
  • shows a record of success in managing a team
  • excellent business acumen and analytical skills
  • track record of commercial/data analysis
  • fluent in English and Czech
  • entrepreneurial executive proficient in developing strategy, has outstanding delivery skill
  • a dynamic, incisive and result-oriented executive with ability to see bigger picture
