About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Buyer to join our international procurement team within the Generali Group. This role focuses on strategic sourcing across indirect categories, especially Professional Services and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO). You will play a key role in shaping procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and driving cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic sourcing initiatives across indirect categories within Generali Group.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
  • Manage supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance evaluation, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, HR, Operations) to gather project needs and align during negotiations.
  • Drive cost optimization and value creation through market intelligence and benchmarking.
  • Support contract management and ensure compliance with procurement policies.
  • Monitor procurement KPIs and prepare regular reports for senior stakeholders.
  • Create impactful presentations to communicate sourcing strategies and procurement achievements.

Your Profile

Education & Experience

  • University degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in strategic procurement, ideally in an international environment.
  • Experience in consulting is a plus.

Languages

  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken).
  • Other European languages are an advantage.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier performance management.
  • Proficiency in procurement platforms (e.g., Ivalua).
  • Familiarity with risk assessment and compliance frameworks.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset.
