Few words about ORLEN Unipetrol

We are the only petrol processing company on the Czech market, its largest plastics manufacturer and the owner of its largest petrol station network ORLEN. What will you do?

• Manage the full application lifecycle for corporate systems (ERP, CRM, HR, BI) and systems for production and maintenace area based on DCS, SCADA as PI Plant Information, APC Advanced Process Control, optimization and others like LIMS Laboratory System, Shift Handover, Permit to Work etc.
• Define and coordinate IT projects in industrial environments, particularly in petrochemical and refinery operations.
• Manage technical debt by planning modernization, migration, and decommissioning of legacy systems.
• Collaborate with business, operations, and external vendors to align IT solutions with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with company and industry regulations and standards (e.g., ISO, NIS2, industrial cybersecurity).
• Organizing, managing and developing team of IT professionals.
• Be accountable for Development, Maintenance and innovation of IT systems supporting ORLEN Unipetrol Group.
• Be responsible for communication with Business Owners responsible for specific business areas.
• Cooperate with other IT teams in areas of Corporate, Retail, Infrastructure and last but not least IT Security.
• Reporting to ORLEN Unipetrol´s Head of IT.
• Be responsible for budget (CAPEX and OPEX) planning and execution.
• Be responsible for cooperation of IT Strategy creation and be accountable for strategy execution.
• Managing vendors of IT solutions and services for Retail.

What should you know and have?

Required

• Minimum 5 years of experience managing IT applications in an industrial setting.
• Ability to analyze and optimize business and production processes.
• Familiarity with IT/OT security principles.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
• Proactive, goal-oriented, and problem-solving mindset.
• Experience in managing IT teams, IT OPEX and CAPEX, IT strategy as well as IT vendors.
• Experience in coordinating and managing IT projects and IT innovations.
• Working spoken and written command of English language.

Highly welcome

• Experience with Hexagon and/or Aveva products supporting production processes.
• Knowledge of system integration (ESB, APIs, middleware).
• Experience managing technical debt and planning technology roadmaps.
• Strong background in IT system architecture.
• Experience in working in matrix organizations.
• ITIL Foundation or/and ITIL Service Management.
