Business Analyst for Portfolio Administration

Generali Investments CEE, investicni spolecnost, a.s., is an investment company based in the Czech Republic with foreign branch in Budapest with approximately 130 people in total, a member of the Generali global financial group. Managing assets of approximately 18 billion EUR with.

We are now looking for Business Analyst for our Portfolio Administration department.

Process Analysis and Data Work

• Map and describe current and new processes in the area of investments and portfolio administration.
• Analyze data and report needs of individual departments, data structures, data transformations, calculations and data flows.
• Propose and implement process adjustments or optimizations.
• Collaborate on designing data and report structures for a new internal system.
• Review and ensure data quality across systems.

Portfolio Administration Support

• Maintain records of client, broker, counterparty, and custodian data in the information system.
• Coordinate and administer the contracting process with brokers, counterparties custodians, and other partners.
• Calculate various fees and ensure they are recorded and processed correctly.
• Validate client deposits and withdrawals.

Reporting and Documentation

• Be responsible for preparation and generation of client reports and annual reports.
• Provide documents to clients and auditors.

Communication and Collaboration

• Collaborate with colleagues across departments on implementing new processes and solutions.
• Communicate with information system vendors, depositaries, and internal stakeholders.
• Represent the company to clients in the Central and Eastern Europe region.

Must-have

• At least 2–3 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, process analysis, or portfolio/back-office administration in investment firm or fund management company.
• Strong analytical and technical thinking, orientation in data and data models.
• Ability to quickly navigate complex information systems and integrated applications.
• Accuracy, attention to detail, affinity for numbers.
• Experience with data record-keeping or administration (clients, counterparties, contracts, fees, calculations, validations).
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients, brokers, counterparties, or custodians.
• Communication and organizational skills — ability to easily explain processes and communicate changes across departments.
• Experience with process mapping (e.g., MS Visio).
• English at least at B2 level.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of financial markets and investment instruments.
• Knowledge of AML, compliance, or work with contractual documentation.
• Experience with IT project lifecycle in the investment area.
• Knowledge of SQL or work with larger datasets.
• Experience from asset management, an investment company, or a bank.
